Mark Miller, the founder of Five Star Asphalt, began his journey in Canada, where he developed a strong work ethic and passion for roadway construction. After gaining hands-on experience in Pittsburgh, he set his sights on South Florida, determined to bring his expertise to a region that demands durability and excellence in asphalt solutions. Today, with over 30 years of industry experience, Mark leads a team dedicated to creating long-lasting, high-quality results.

A Million-Mile Dedication to Sustainability

Sustainability is more than just a buzzword at Five Star Asphalt—it’s a commitment we live by. Mark drives this value (quite literally) in his hybrid Toyota Highlander, a vehicle that has logged over one million miles traveling to job sites. He leads by example, ensuring that eco-conscious practices are a cornerstone of our business. And while he takes sustainability seriously, Mark’s approach is not without a sense of humor. He always keeps an extra recycling bin in the back of his car to ensure his employees stay hydrated in South Florida’s warm climate and recycle their empty bottles and cans.
